Can I sell seashells?
It’s illegal to sell shells without a licence – even broken shells collected at the beach and turned into handicrafts for a market stall. Only licensed shell collectors can sell their shells, and bag limits also apply to beachcombers looking to add to their collections.
Can you throw away seashells?

- Fill a pot with equal parts water and bleach.
- Soak the shells in the solution.
- Once this coating is gone, you can remove the shells from the solution.
- Rinse your shells thoroughly and allow to dry completely.
- Rub baby oil or mineral oil on the shells to restore shine.
Is Sea Shell dust toxic?
Seashell dust is toxic, and I don’t mean a little bit toxic. You can really hurt yourself if you breath it in, or get it into your eyes, a cut or sore, or ingest it. When you breathe this dust in, it gets embedded in your lungs and it won’t come out. It will literally be there forever, and it’s toxic.

How do you shape shells?
